About Small Business September 2011

Small Business September is the State's most comprehensive small business program.

This year's program is the 11th Small Business Month in NSW.

Discover new technologies, trends and tools to help you grow your profitability, the events also allow for small business owners to come together and make connections. The Small Business September 2011 program promises to help you "Connect for profit".

NSW Trade and Investment promotes and coordinates the program. More than 300 events will be offered across NSW by NSW Trade and Investment, key Sponsors and about 150 partner organisations.

Events are designed to equip small business owners and operators with information, resources and networks to effectively build and manage every aspect of their business.

Experts in many aspects of business will discuss topics across 10 themes including:

  • Business Growth
  • Business Online
  • Business Planning
  • Export and Trade
  • Finance and Money
  • Green Business
  • Innovative Business
  • New to Small Business
  • Sales and Marketing, and
  • Skills and HR

The Small Business September website provides a comprehensive guide to the events. It can be easily searched to show listings of events in each region of NSW, and includes descriptions, times, locations, registration and contact details.

Businesses, industry, professional and government organisations that support small businesses are encouraged to develop and deliver events during September and register their events on the website which can take registrations for the events. These partner organisations are listed on the website and are given access to a resources area containing templates and information to help manage and promote events.

Most events are free and all events are designed by industry experts to help your business flourish.


About this Events Module

This website has been developed by NSW Trade and Investment as a free service for the small business operators and small business service providers in NSW. It lists all Small Business September events and includes online registration facilities for most of them.

The site lists many specialist events for small businesses being run across NSW. Events include workshops, expos, forums etc, and may be coordinated by NSW Trade and Investment or any other organisation that provides business services.

Event coordinators need to register to receive an account enabling them to create and manage their event(s) and to optionally take registrations online, in which case registrations can also be managed.

Visitors to the site are encouraged to search for events of interest to them.

About Business Advisory Services (BAS)

The NSW Government supports organisations around the State to provide business advisory services and information to people starting and operating a business.

Fourteen organisations across NSW deliver up-to-date business information through 39 offices to assist you to expand your existing business or to explore new business ideas.

Business Advisory Services (BAS) provides assistance, seminars/workshops and networking opportunities for business owners and managers to plan their growth and development.
